This issue brings together thirty-one contributions—twenty-nine original articles and two clinical case reports—from ten countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The methodological spectrum is broad: descriptive and analytical cross-sectional studies, retrospective and prospective cohort studies, a qualitative phenomenological study, a systematic narrative review and case reports. Together, they cover six key areas of health research in Africa. Through their acknowledged methodological limitations and rigorously stated practical implications, these thirty-one contributions offer a valuable overview of contemporary African médicine.
