ABSTRACT This issue Health Res. Afr: Vol 4; (5), May 2026 brings together twenty-seven original contributions — cross-sectional studies, retrospective cohort studies, pilot trials, case series and critical reviews — from thirteen countries in sub-Saharan Africa. This broad geographical scope reflects the growing vitality of African medical research, whose main challenge is to combine the fight against infections and chronic diseases with equitable access and respect for beliefs, in order to achieve a truly inclusive African medicine.References
