RÉSUMÉ
L'ulcère de Marjolin désigne la transformation maligne d'une cicatrice de brûlure ou de toute autre plaie ou ulcération chronique. Il s’agit d’une complication rare, tardive des ulcères variqueux anciens et souvent diagnostiquée à un stade avancé. Nous rapportons le cas d’un patient de 74 ans, chauffeur de taxi, tabagique actif porteur d’un ulcère variqueux chronique de la jambe droite évoluant depuis plus de soixante ans dont l’évolution a été marquée par la transformation néoplasique.
ABSTRACT
Marjolin’s ulcer refers to the malignant transformation of a burn scar or any other chronic wound or ulceration. It is a rare, late complication of long-standing varicose ulcers and is often diagnosed at an advanced stage. We report the case of a 74-year-old male taxi driver and active smoker with a chronic varicose ulcer on his right leg that had been present for over sixty years and had progressed to neoplastic transformation.
